For decades, Dr. Michael A. Chow has helped patients and families care for their smiles with a friendly, personal approach. With more than 38 years of experience in dentistry, including 36 years practising in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows area, he has built lasting relationships with generations of local families. Since opening Meadows Family Dental in Pitt Meadows in February 2013, Dr. Chow and his team have welcomed patients of all ages, from young children to adults and seniors. Many longtime patients now bring their children and grandchildren to the practice, reflecting the trust and relationships built over the years. Dr. Chow believes good dental care starts with getting to know each patient personally, understanding their needs and concerns, and treating them with the same respect and consideration he would give his own family. Through thorough examinations, individualized treatment planning, clear explanations, and patient education, the team works to help every patient feel informed and comfortable with their care. Our Doctors

Dr. Michael Chow

I was born and raised in Vancouver and love the Lower Mainland. I attended UBC where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and then Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1988. During my time at UBC, I had spent several years involved in immunological research, which aided my critical thinking. While in dental school, I was offered a student externship in Maple Ridge and it was at that time I realized I wanted to practice in the Ridge Meadows area where there are so many wonderful families. As a dental professional, I stay up-to-date in the most current treatment options and value each patient as an individual who has entrusted me with their oral health care. I am a PT clinical instructor at UBC Dental School and I stay updated by being a member of the study clubs North Fraser Seminars for Dental Excellence and Golden Ears Dental Alliance. Outside the office, I enjoy fishing, golfing, running, and skiing with my wife Dana and our two children.

Dental Assistants

Dana

I graduated from Douglas College as a Certified Dental Assistant 35 years ago. I have always enjoyed working in a team environment and strive to make all my patients feel relaxed and comfortable at their dental appointments. Always taking pride in my work, I am just as excited about dentistry today as when I first started my career. I have been a CDA for 35 years and married to Dr. Chow for over 31 years and I enjoy our working relationship together. We have two children, a son and a daughter, who keep us busy outside the office, driving from soccer field to soccer field! I enjoy being active with my family, whether it is running, hiking, golfing, or skiing. I am proud to be part of this wonderful dental practice and have enjoyed building relationships with many patients over the years.

Kym

I’m a licensed Dental Assistant with many years of experience in the dental field. Outside of work, my greatest role is being a mom to my two daughters. Family, connection, and creating a positive environment for the people around me are incredibly important to me. When I’m not at work, my favourite hobby is staying active through strength training and running. I also enjoy being active outdoors through paddleboarding and hiking. And when I’m home, I enjoy cooking, creating art and spending time with my family. I’m always eager to bring the same enthusiasm, care, and dedication I have in my personal life into the work I do every day.

I graduated from Douglas College as a Certified Dental Assistant in 2013. I love working in dentistry today as much as I did when I first started. I am new to Meadows Family Dental and so excited to be a part of this incredible team. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and reading a good book.

The dental field has always been my first choice. Graduating from the Dental Lab Technician program in NAIT, I made crowns and bridges for a couple of years before I discovered my true calling and enrolled into the Dental Hygiene program at the University of Alberta. Amazingly, 36 years later, I’m still a practicing hygienist — and I still love it! I’ve worked in perio and general dentists’ offices (five in total) and consider myself blessed to be part of Dr. Mike Chow’s dental team for almost 22 years now. My husband and I enjoy golfing and travelling. And, with our daughter off to university, we see ourselves spending more time on those fun leisure activities once again.

Anthea

Dental hygiene has been a great part of my life since graduating in 2002 from the University of Manitoba and I have had the privilege of being part of my beloved dental family since September 2004. I really enjoy seeing my patients and especially, getting to know their families. It’s an unbelievable feeling seeing their children grow from playing in our playroom to leaving for college or university- and that’s only seeing them 2-3 times a year! But helping my patients improve their oral health and seeing the results is, honestly, the best part of my job! The creative side of me enjoys baking and cake decorating. I found this passion while baking with my mom every Christmas- all those delicious cakes and cookies! Now, all my cakes are inspired by my family and friends. And I love that they have entrusted me to bake for some of their most special occasions including their weddings and birthdays! The other half of my life is all about my family. Family is the most important part of my life and my husband and I are lucky enough to have welcomed our brand new baby girl this past May 2013. She really is the light of our lives- her smiles and bright eyes bring us nothing but warmth and hope. It is truly an honour to be part of my dental family as we strive to bring you and your family the best possible care.

I’ve been fortunate to be part of the Meadows Family Dental team since 2018, and it has truly been a privilege to grow and evolve as a dental hygienist alongside such an amazing team. Over the years, this practice has become like a second family to me, and I’m so grateful for the relationships I’ve built with both my colleagues and my patients. Outside of the office, my husband and I have our hands full with our 2 beautiful boys, who keep life busy + fun!

Iris

Iris was born and raised in Maple Ridge, and made the move to Vancouver in 2021. Always having good experiences within the dental office growing up, Iris knew she wanted to pursue a career in the dental field. Being able to create a safe, comfortable space for patients while giving them optimal treatment and advice. Iris began her career as a Certified Dental Assistant after graduating from VCC in 2016. After 3 years of work in general dentistry practice she decided to go back to school for Dental Hygiene and graduated with high honours at TCDHA in 2021. Iris has been working with Meadow Family dental since 2021. When she isn’t working, Iris enjoys being active outdoors or playing sports and trying new food around the city!

Sheri

I have been a dental hygienist since graduating from Vancouver Community College in 2013, and I’m passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their oral health. Before pursuing dental hygiene, I completed an undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Simon Fraser University, which strengthens my evidence based approach and analytical problem solving. My focus is on gentle, thorough care and clear communication so every visit feels welcoming and tailored to each patient’s needs. I joined Dr. Mike Chow’s office in 2023 and feel fortunate to be part of such a warm, collaborative team. The practice is grounded in integrity, ethical care, and strong clinical standards — a culture I’m grateful to contribute to each day. Outside the office, I enjoy traveling, home improvement projects, and spending time on DIY, crafting, and sewing. I also enjoy a gourmet donut now and then, my favourite little circle of joy.

Kayley

Hi, I’m Kayley! I graduated from the UBC Dental Hygiene Degree Program in 2018 and have since gained experience working in a variety of dental offices through temping. These experiences ultimately led me to Meadows Family Dental, where I joined the team in 2025. My philosophy as a hygienist is centred around education and empowering patients to take an active role in their oral health. I believe in making dental care approachable and helping patients understand the why behind their treatment recommendations. I also work as a Clinical and Didactic Instructor at the Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene, where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping future hygienists develop their skills and confidence.

Fiona

Having grown up in the Lower Mainland, I am thankful to have spent the past 35 years working as a dental hygienist. What I enjoy most about my career is getting to know my patients and partnering with them on their oral health journey. I believe that building trusting relationships and providing personalized care can make a meaningful difference not only in a patient’s smile, but also in their overall health and well-being. One of the most rewarding aspects of my profession is helping patients understand the connection between oral health and overall wellness and supporting them in achieving their individual oral health goals. I feel fortunate to have a career I truly love, one that has allowed me to care for my patients while also raising my four children with my husband of 36 years. Outside the dental office, I enjoy spending time with my family and grand pets, as well as staying active through cycling, running, skiing and travelling.

Dental hygiene has been a wonderful part of my life since I began my career in 2015, and I still love it just as much today! I really enjoy helping my patients feel relaxed and comfortable in my chair. It's so rewarding when seeing them settle in and feel at ease. Outside of the work, I enjoy reading and spending time in nature. It’s my way of slowing down, recharging, and finding a little peace. I feel so lucky to have joined Dr. Chow’s team a year ago. I love every member of our team! We’re like one big, caring family! And everyone is truly dedicated to putting patients first. I feel so grateful to be part of a team that cares so deeply about the people we look after.

Sterilization/ Inventory Coordinator

Since 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Dr Chow and those who make up our close-knit team. I joined the office as a sterilization assistant, having no dental background prior, and very quickly became enthralled with the work and eager to learn more. I now split my day between sterilization tasks and managing inventory in the back, ordering dental supplies and helping out wherever I can. Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my boyfriend and our two dogs. Watching movies, grabbing coffee with friends and enjoying a scenic walk are my favourite pastimes.

Over the past 35 years, while raising my own family, I’ve had the pleasure of watching many families grow as patients in our successful dental practice. I believe we have a unique bond with all who join our office and love sharing stories and lots of laughter. When I’m not here, you can usually find me at the gym or enjoying outdoor activities with family and friends.

I have been working with Dr. Chow for the past 30 years and consider this office to be part of my family. I love the trust and friendships we develop with our patients. When not at work, you will find me enjoying time with my son and daughter, good friends, and other loved ones.

I have been fortunate enough to call Pitt Meadows my hometown for the last 28 years, where I have raised my family. It’s wonderful working at Dr. Chow’s, seeing so many families, friends and neighbours come into the office. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Chow, Dana and some staff members 30 years ago and feel honoured to be here with them again, along with the entire staff. In my spare time, I love spending time with my growing family, travelling and golfing with my husband.

Over the past two years working with Dr. Chow, I have felt very fortunate to be a part of this dental family. It has been a pleasure getting to know our patients and their families and I am looking forward to many more years ahead.
